Busdriver - Fear of a Black Tangent
Yeah, Busdriver of the legendary Project Blowed crew is a hip hop artist and it is quite an appropriate monicker. Fear of a Black Tangent is Busdriver's third full-length album and second for the Mush label. His style is one that would trouble many rappers, tripping them up over tongue twisters and speedy rhymes. I will be the first to admit that Busdriver may not be for everyone but he does have qualities that if given half a chance he would get into your skin and you would be addicted. If you can't get into the quirky beats on "Avantcore" you need to check your pulse. Stick around for the three tracks after the blank track 14 for the three remixes. They are definitely the highlights of the album, "Avantcore" is remixed by D-Styles, Happiness is done by Prefuse 73 and "Unemployed Black Astronaut" is done by Nobody. This is a fun and worthy album showcasing one of America's unsung hip-hop artists.
