Hip-Hop is still so relevant and a threat to the system that the popularity of its more mundane gangsta shit must be a plot. Here is another band, one with live instruments, saying it loud and proud and more concerned with the people on the streets than the grill on the new Hummer or praying that they can make a video full of thong-clad girls to prove how large they live. "Focus","The Single" and "Cool Boots" have more grooves and raw beats than a hundred 50 Cents. While "The Let Go" and Capes Billowing" recycle tired beats and sentiments, "How to Read People like a Book" should embarrass anyone who has mentioned their Rolex in a rap. While too many famous rappers are more than willing to suck the corporate shizz-izzle to both get rich and perpetuate Red State stereotypes of blacks, underground rap is still rolling along as the most viable music since Johnny Rotten stood on stage with his face covered in spit and eggs and he STILL kept saying the truth.
