Pop-punk that rises above the cliches inherent in the genre to make for a strong, confident set. Hell-Bent on Heaven's Smile" and "Otis" especially must be making an impression on this year's Vans Warped Tour, as they stand out from the fare of the same recycled bands that tour keeps returning to in order to keep selling tickets. With more bands like A Small Victory, they might return to their roots of exposing new bands to folks. Never mind songs like "Stabbing Tree" and "Amy Never Misses", which would be on the radio all day every day in a perfect world where "Modern Rock" wasn't a format as pathetic as anything that convinced you The Eagles were Classic.
