Both relentless and snotty, AWS remind one of early to mid-80's bands, who rocked hard and had a such a sense of being on the right roads they didn't give a fuck. No one who cashes a big check for being punk would even dare write a song like "When I was Alive: Walden II", or "The Kids Eat A Bag Of Dicks", let alone listen to it and know what it means. Gloriously sarcastic and raw, this band has the mindset to wreck major havoc. "Less Bright Eyes, more Deicide"; "Me Vs. Morissey in the Pretentiousness Contest( The Ladder Match) are songs so far beyond the BillyJoe-ization of punk is it almost sexy.
Humor makes the truth more palatable to those who can't handle it straight, which is pretty much everyone today.
