RecommendOriginally released in 2001 by 555 recordings, this reissue of Baltimore IDM master Bjyan Kidwell boasts three classic unreleased tracks to go with the other ambient, jerky-beat rhythms he has become known for. Those familiar with Cex can groove anew to the pulse of "Cal and Brady Style" and the title track, as well as the droning beauty of "Your handwriting when you were a child in the winter." The bonus tracks are in the vein of the latter. In fact, tracks like "Monster-Face Pills" and "Bunky" are two of the best songs he's constructed. This is a great intro the master's mixes, with surprises for the convinced.
