Beat Buzz is sort of a hit and miss label. I guess that’s because they play with pretty much unknown acts and a lot of this music is unique to their compilations. The Trance Plant series is one that they have had the most success with and to boost it even more, they have compiled the first two editions and given us a taster of what’s to come on volume 3. Some of the artists included on Trance Plant are Push, Airwave, Meridian, Blue Alphabet, Plastic Boy, Capetown, Moon Project and Oudja as well as numerous other artists. The music actually meshes quite well together even with all of the artists involved. Some trance aficionados may think of this collection as quite generic but it does sound like there was much thought into the way the songs progress and climax. Each song has it’s own unique assets and they do all fit together nicely. You can easily get swept away by each song’s soaring rhythms and awesome melodies. It’s tribal at the best of times but isn’t that what trance is all about?
