Out of the county picturesque county of Devon a thoughtful, colourful and rhythmic female led indie quartet bounds out with a blend of Hole, Imogen Heap, Jeff Buckley and Siouxsie And The Banshees indie mix. The deep and lamenting 'Lana', via the crisp and longing vocals of Andrea Barber tells the sordid tale of fairytale actress Lana Clarkson, whose life ended with a bullet and Phil Spector was charged with the murder. The instrumentals are slow and haunting with Pete Firth's almost heartbeat percussion setting the tone, while the lyrics are poignant and striking;

"You were Cinderella, A stunning living, breathing doll.
He picked you up one evening, And drove you over to the ball
But the Amazon fell down in the entrance hall."

The vocals take on a more soulful and C & W edge in 'Nobody Else' that picks up the pace and turns into a sprightly pop number, about losing in the game of love. Whereas, the bouncy and inhibition releasing 'Lose Control' gives this outfit a springtime edge. The Climb are slowly surmounting the music industry ladder to recognition, having played on the same bill as The Datsuns, Brendan Benson and Crackout, this offering will endear them to a whole range of bands and audiences.
