Una Corda - Proper Position For Floating EP
This is one of those gems that I just happened to listen to. Una Corda comes our way from England featuring two guitars, two basses and a drummer. The music is instrumental and gets heavier at times but for the most part it reminds me of a gentle, not too quiet Mogwai. The band are very talented, which they have to be in order to pull off the no vocals thing. The EP is only 4 songs long with simple titles like "One", "Two", "Three", and "Four" respectively. The songs pretty much speak for themselves. The EP presents us 23 minutes of fairly hard hitting instrumental metal/rock in ways only bands like Pelican have achieved previously. If you come across this EP do indeed check it out.
