Tape loops and found environmental sounds mix with brooding guitar to make you feel like you are listening to silent film music played by drunks. In other words, this is genius. Dave Einmo blends band and vocals samplings sampling of his parent's super 8 movies form the 1970's;. Back then a reel only lasted three minutes, so there needed to be some choice and maybe even planning, involved in deciding what to film, what to capture forever. "Noisy at the Circus"; and "Tell Mommy You Want a Sip of Beer" and other tracks create an evocative soundscape of drone, rock and psych that create an eternal quality, both moving and daring, like the childhood it builds from. Drummers Darius Minwalla (Posies) and David Weeks ( Kinski) add a constant solid time to the pieces; cello and mellotron expand the sound deeper still. This is timeless music inspired by a finite time that lives with us forever. A Masterpiece.
