I gave the Moving Units debut EP a listen back in 2003 and had high hopes for the band but then this dance punk thing ended up washing them out and making them seem a little less than unique. They were one of many bands taking from the Gang Of Four influences and moving them into the new millennium and then when their full-length finally hit in 2004 they ended up just looking like imitators. That's too bad because there are some redeeming qualities to Dangerous Dreams. While I wouldn't highly recommend the album, if you do like similar bands like The Rapture or the much better Radio 4 then you would be smart to pick up this album. There are some very catchy moments on the album even if they aren't completely immediate. Songs like "Between Us And Them" are really impressive once you get over the dance punk stigmata involved. I'm afraid that this band will most likely disappear in the annals of alt-rock.
