Armed Love was supposed to be the one. The album that was going to shoot The (International) Noise Conspiracy into the mainstream. They had it all, the big label support, production by Rick Rubin, but what happened along the way? This album was met with pretty much no splash at all and after one listen (for a true fan like myself) you can tell the energy isn't here. I think it really is too bad that more songs weren't as catchy as "Way I Feel About You" but ultimately, it feels like there is something missing on Armed Love compared to previous efforts. There are too many moments like "All In All" that really don't get the listener into the movement. Armed Love is a decent record but far from T(I)NC's best. Hopefully they make a big move on their next album or all their fans will jump ship.
