Qualudes have had a vital role in rock history. By influencing young men and women to back in the days of the phonograph to slow down their favorite records to the more sludgy speeds, has allowed numerous new genres to spring forth. Early metal was essentially blues slowed to a death dirge, and Boy Howdy, are we grateful! Vampire Circus take us back to those halcyon days, when Jim Dandy and Mark Farner ruled the earth, and the drum solo the apex of the avant-garde. Which is to say this is great. They do not try and reinvent the wheel with Earthride, but are satisfied to hit the road on the same old treads that got us through the hard times. Dude, turn it up!
