RecommendWhen I listen to the Oblivians I don't so much put them at the top of the garage revival-they were doing this earlier than most bands they are lumped with-as I miss Drunks With Guns, who are kind of spiritual fathers to this Athens trainwreck. While nothing in the O's discography comes close to the Drunk's "Dick In One Hand", "Drill", "Guitar Shop Asshole", "She's a Hole", and especially "You fucked me up, You put me down" accumulate the same groove: sloppy, inept, shameful and glorious. They're gone and you missed 'em, but track this one down and pick up a few more sins to confess.
