There is some noise in Seattle Washington and it's all coming from Champion. This hardcore band has been doing gigs in the area for a few years now and Bridge Nine Records have caught them and stuck them in a studio in February 2002 to record this EP. Champion considers themselves "straight-edged", meaning that they are straight and don't have to rely on any artificial means of enjoyment. One listen to Count Our Numbers and you will be surprised that Champion aren't "on" anything. It's a fast ride that's over before you know it. 6 songs go by at a blistering pace with Jim Hesketh screaming over one of the tightest hardcore bands I have heard since Madball. Count Our Numbers is another great release for Bridge Nine, a label that is growing in my mind to be one of the forefront hardcore labels going. Nice packaging to with a crowd of fans moshing away incessantly.
