If you can believe it, this is Choke’s fifth full-length. If you live in Canada, there is no doubt that you have run across Choke in your hometown playing their hearts out. Back in 1994, Choke came together as 4 friends and like-minded musicians to play some of the finest punk this side of the 49th Parallel. The punk music that Choke comes up with is intense and furious at the best of times. The inject some DC scene elements like Fugazi into music that is melodically terse. The music is diverse and very extreme. This Edmonton foursome is picking up steam and venturing into new grounds with this album. Punk fans from around the world should seek out Choke and especially There’s a Story to this Moral. This album just plain rocks.
