RecommendThis four song joint CD from two of the Noise mavens from the great Richmond, VA noise scene (and more than noise; performance spaces, radio, etc. Check it out). Monolith Zero is Adam Hudson. His harsh ambient is on display in "template 237864" and "_0_." Andrew Westerhouse, the true voice behind Never Presence Forever, offers more structure, but does not skimp on power or mood. "Searching for Heaven In the Face of Hell" and "Living with Regret Without Regretting to Live" provide ample sonic space to contemplate just those topics raised in the titles. Those unfamiliar with Noise may be tempted to say that it all sounds the same. But listen to colors, and the distant echoes; then turn it up louder.
