RecommendOceania, I Will Return is three CD sampling of the Year Zero's forthcoming full-length, Year Zero chooses wisely, as each of these songs shine and ring confidently. Their light, shoe-gazing drone is in evidence on "Moonviewing Parties," "Some Great Majestic," and "Truth About Stars." Each song builds up an eerie steam, like Julie Cruise fronting an unplugged Cure. Lili de la Mara mesmerizes with her voice and her guitar. Atmospheric without becoming fey, I Will Return ought to be a good one this spring when it hits the stands.
