With titles like "World at War" "Downward Christian Soldiers" as well as "Back seat Sally" and "Cheap fun" you can guess that Black Market Baby were both political and Gang Green-ishly loveable in their drunkenness. Coulda Shoulda Woulda is a great 26 song overview of their career, valuable for diehards and newbies alike. Though Black Market Baby were hammering it home in D.C. in the early '80's, they received far less press than their immortal comrades Bad Brains and Minor Threat. Yet their brand of snotty old school punk resisted all trends, from hardcore to pop-punk, and they've lasted longer than the legends. You'll do nothing more Punk this year than buying this record.
