Alex Gold has been DJing for many years now and has been very influential in such scenes as the Ibiza rave scene. His label, Xtravaganza has released some very interesting material over the years. Alex had an unfortunate paragliding accident in 2002 but kept at his music and has come up with his first ever artist album called Back From A Break. It is a lively album that has so many lively tracks on it that it really shows Gold at his peak. There is also a nice diversity of energy on the tracks here. There are some heavy hitters and some that are great to lay back to. The first single from the album, "Stranded In Paradise", with its trance-like atmospherics is a measure of how good the album is. Alex Gold should be content with the results of Back From A Break. It is an appropriate album for dance music fans and fans of just decent beats.
