I have to be careful here, since King Brothers invite so much temptation to hyperbole, that it may get ugly. Especially for me, since I've already declared another In The Red band, The Black Lips, the best band in the world. But King Brothers ROCK with such monstrous, crazy joy, with the stoopidest riffs this side of Blue Cheer, that life does change after one listen. There is still glory to be found, and you can find some of it here. When oh when will there be another record? Guitarists Masafumi Koyama and Keizo Matsuo, along with drummer Jun Fujimoto make this album sound great. It would almost be blasphemy to pick one track here as being a highlight. From "Oh Shit!", through "Nori Nori Tengoku" and "Irritatetatirri", down to "Lulu" and "(Bed-Building-Bed-Symbols)", every song is a monster, and when each one ends there is awe, relief, and a huge fucking smile on my face. Buy it, take it to bed and to work with you. Risking that hyperbole, I can at least say that In The Red is the best label there is right now.
