Sedia - The Even Times
Sedia creates bone-crushing, inventive, howling live from Armageddon madness from Italy. This power trio runs through seven songs in about half hour, but fills that time with enough ideas to stretch out for weeks. Stunning in their composition and playing, the songs are tight prog metal one minute, free form the next, then stunning and odd like Pere Ubu on the straightway. Each member assaults and challenges his instrument and fellow bandmates. "Das Kabinett Des Doktor Magistralisss" covers the whole history of European progressive music in seven minutes. "The Battle of Electric Swali" and "Gingilletti" are probably mind-blowing to other musicians as to anyone in earshot. This is a must have.
