RecommendElephone is a new project from the vibrant San Francisco scene. The Camera Behind The Camera Behind the Camera is the first album for Three Ring Records and it is quite a nice pop album. There are many times when I think that Elephone sound a lot like Placebo. They have that dark pop thing going on. Their songs are well arranged but they lack the essential hooks that is required when being introduced to a new band. The album is just over 40 minutes but it really seems much longer. I'm not sure why. I think Elephone need a little more experience. I like what they have but I imagine they need to mature. In the end, Camera Behind ends up being a blip on the radar and not much more.
