Kk Null - Kosmista Noisea
KK Null, solo or with ANP, has always tried to push boundaries. His early, guitar-based Noise was catastrophic on eardrums, and yet more willing to explore gaps in sound than, say, Masonna or Merzbow. In recent years he has become more enamored of electronic, ambient noise, but he still manages to wring exceptional power from his improvs. Consisting of two 45 minute untitled tracks culled from live shows, Kosmista Noisea creates a typical Null universe where the beautiful and the insane co-exist, never having to fight for space since they a part of the same world. The first track is a deflty edited piece from shows in France and Italy, while the second track is a single show. In both, the sound is massive and overwhelming, emotion driven by both quiet and raging moments. By mixing heavy bass with industrial computer sequencing, and drawing the guitar on occasion into the vortex, Null creates total noise and total contemplation at irregular intervals, and creates and emotional, roiling landscape that you can touch, and probably eat. Massive in scope and human in delivery, Kosmista touches on both the profound and the jugular.
