This titbit of crunching percussion catapulted post-hardcore shows that forthcoming album, 'In Regards To Myself' could add a drop of intensity and murkiness to 2004's shuddering full-length 'They're Only Chasing Safety'. Spencer Chamberlain's fervid screech kicks in right from the off to jump on the percussion and grinding guitars, confronting the topic of fear with the ferocity of Ricky Hatton. Drummer, Aaron Gillespie adds a haunting backing touch to help the completion eerie, frantic and bewildered snippet of a band that are beginning to find their true pitch. This is somewhere between Hawthorne Heights and an early Thursday sound, a combination that will intrigue alternative sound seekers.

Somewhere between Hawthorne Heights and early Thursday?... I don't agree wit that, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you listen to the guitars for HH and then UO back to back, you wont find any type of similarity. The guitars this time around for underoath will smack you in the face and leave you crying on the ground... Where as the hawthorne heights guitars may rock you to sleep. As for vocals, there is no comparisson to thursday either. I dont think you could really compare this album, or the song 'In Regards To Myself' to any type of music out just yet. I think that Underoath put out a ground breaking album with Define The Great Line, and every track on it.
