This Swedish punk band continues to move forward in their sound. Millencolin is on their fourth release and this time around they have entitled their album Home From Home and it’s quite a ride. This release is not only for punk fans but people who enjoy a bit of pop sensibilities thrown in for good measure. Listen to Nikola’s voice on Home From Home and you can tell he is shooting for even more melody that previous efforts. There is moody times on here but for the most part Millencolin is just out for a good time and they are turning into very seasoned musicians. Listen to “Happiness For Dogs for a sample of that melody I was talking about. Home From Home was produced by power producer Lou Giordano who you may remember from such 90’s classics as Sugar, Blake Babies, Lemonheads and Belly. His power production really suits the style that Millencolin is going for on here. I give Millencolin two more albums before they break into a major sensation. There is too much talent to contain in this band. Don’t forget to play the Millencolin game that comes on the multimedia section of the disc.
