Almost hard to believe but this Vancouver, Canada band has beeen wreaking havoc on the indie music scene for almost 20 years now. The strangest thing is that they keep putting out stellar releases and One is no exception. not only can this band do punk and hard rock but they also add elements of jazz (it has been refered to as "jazzcore") into their music. They play with timing, sometimes to the point where it's hard to take and then pull everything together again. To prove their jazz abilities the brothers take on Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew" and do a fine "jazzcore" rendition of it (a whole 15 minutes of scheer intensity). And then to screw you around even more they finish off with a drugged out sluggish version of the Ramones' "Beat On The Brat". These guys will still be making music in the retirement home and the quality will never dwindle.
