Over It is a fairly new punk band with an EP and a full-length under their belts already. Lobster Records has the priveledge of releasing this Alexandria, VA bands new full-length entitled Timing Is Everything. They use some old school styles and examples from bands like Lifetime and Samiam but also use some of the heavier emo styles that are more recent. They are a fast and technical band with harmonies all over the place. The band enjoys a chunky guitar sound with very well sung lyrics. If you need an example, go no further than "Chasing a Constellation". It's one of the most accessible songs on the album. Over It could whip some of emo's strongest bands and show them a thing or two about melodic punk rock. The intensity is very high throughout the entire album. I would say that anyone interested in the more melodic but still fairly serious punk music would fully appreciate Over It and their Timing Is Everything album.
