Park - No Signal
Park are a fairly new band coming from Springfield, Illinois and have made a fairly big name for themselves in the local scene there. Park fit nicely into the emo-punk pigeon-hole but with authority. They play this type of music like it’s the most naturaly music for them. The band is tight and the hooks pull you in like a few other Lobster Records bands that I have heard. Songs on No Signal delve into their personal lives (like emo tends to do) and Park is very revealing in this matter. Obviously a band that would sound phenomenal live and according to their bio they love to tour. Park’s songs tend to be a bit longer than most (they are mostly between 4 and 5 minutes) but they develop them nicely and have decent breaks in them. This portrays some very talented songwriters. To chill you out before you go on your way Park leave you with an unnamed bonus track that fits right in with Dashboard Confessional. The package is great and the music is better. Do yourself a favor and buy Park’s No Signal. You will be happy.
