RecommendThis disc is too much of a tease. I was introduced to Q and not U last year with their No Kill No Beep Beep album and fell in love with yet another DC based band. Now they release this o-too-short EP consisting of a scarce 2 songs. You heard me right. Two freaking songs that are amongst some of the most brilliant work I have heard come out of the DC area let alone on Dischord. Two songs consisting of “Ten Thousand Animal Calls� and the softer “Soft Pyramids� really isn’t enough to tide this fan over. I am promised with the tear sheet that came along with this Q and not U EP that they will be hitting the studio in July with a full-length to follow in the fall. One thing to note is that Q and not U is now a three piece band. Until their full-length, On Play Patterns will have to keep us going.
