Same old, same old. What are you going to do? The Red Thread's Ship In The Attic, Birds In The Subway it isn't bad, it definitely isn't amazing though. It falls in that pointless middle ground where your album has done nothing and when historians look on it later on--well, wait, they won't. Is that brutal?
To the ears, every song sounds the same. Same drums song after song, same intro, same bland vocals that sing a boring monotone that makes you want to cry. "Wax Museum," easily the best song off the album, is just the song that doesn't bore me the most.
"Ships In The Attic" sort of picks the album up and then it just brings it back down. Continuously, the vocals are just grating and it's not enticing you to listen anymore. There is no rhythm in voice. Just a voice with a shaky monotony.
But it's not a bad album--but it definitely isn't great.
