From what the Revenge of the Egg People’s bio says, they’re complete nutters. Their shows are lively and always entertaining. Their debut disc on Stumble Records shows a very promising songwriting style. While they have a lot in common with the California punk scene, they also inject some very catchy pop sensibilities into the music. They have a bit of the classic Dickies style but updated some. Fun is what ROTEP is all about and the Gummie Bear Murders reflect that fun quite nicely. It’s a well produced and well thought out album with catchy songs like “Babaghanoosh and the mellower “Summer Crack Boys. If they get out and tour, ROTEP should make quite a splash on the punk scene. They are very good musicians.
