It seems quite quick that I am reviewing another Revenge of the Egg People CD but this one is a Christmas album and I thought it would be appropriate that I get this review done before the festive season. While not an album that Grandma and Grandpa would enjoy on Christmas morn, the kids and some parents may get a kick out of their punk versions of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, “Do You Hear What I Hear? as well as the classic “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. ROTEP struggle through “12 Days of Christmas and a spoken word “Twas the Night Before Christmas. The band also has fun making some of their own Christmas songs and while they may not be instant classics but they do have a bit of charm. Check out “Frosty Can’t Go To Mexico or “Calorie Counting Claus for examples of their clever songwriting. A kid’s favorite may be “Lesser Known Reindeer (‘Kill the red nose bastard!’).
