Slojack is a California punk band that doesn’t really adhere to any real style. You can tell that they really don’t give a shit as long as the music is good and loud. Get There From Here opens with “24 Hours which is a killer punkabilly track that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Social Distortion album. The next Slojack tune is “Devil’s At The Wheel that pounds out a groove ladened punk ditty that sounds fairly old school. Then on “Someday the Rain they slow it down a bit for a punk ballad with attitude. There really isn’t a bad track on this Slojack album. The album switches up and mixes around influences like they are a tossed salad. Eddie Fritz shows that he is a very experienced and dynamic vocalist and his band is also very talented with the different styles they are able to play. Slojack is the proof that patience will lead to quality songwriting. Slojack will prove to be a force in the coming years.
