Ok, I only picked this particular Social Distortion album because this was the first album I owned from Social D. Not necessarily their best but anyone else would most likely pick the first album they heard as well as it sticks in your heart and you can't help but rock along to any of their albums. The may have gotten flack for pulling back on their punk influences and turning to a more of a rockabilly sound but I think when anyone looks back they will realize that the band was much better off this way. The riffs are simple and heavily distorted and Mike Ness sounds better than ever with his edgey vocals. Mike has also realized that he can sing about matters close at heart and put more feeling into them. Classic Social Distortion songs on here include "Ball and Chain", "Sick Boys", "Story Of My Life", and the great cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire". I can tell you to start your Social Distortion collection here but the next fan might tell you Heaven and Hell is the place. Either way you are about to listen to one great band.
