Probably the best damn rock album ever in my ears. Its got it all. The melodies, the engery, the hits, the whole shebang! Its amazing to see Dave Grohl still rocking with the same energy and that he still writes these awesome songs from album to album.

Monkey Wrench is a 90?s ?ber-classic rock tune that I?ll never forget. A tune I will never get tired of. My Hero is pretty much the same. The drum intro and the guitar riff is to die for. So simple yet so incredibly effective. Less is more when it comes to pure rock.

The only thing I miss on this album is the re-recording the did of Walking After You for the Gozilla soundtrack. Its a way better version than the album version. Otherwise its nothing missing on this album. Rock on Dave, I love ya!

I can remember wearing this album out when it first dropped. I still don't listen to it much, but "Everlong" is a true rock classic and cemented the Foo in my mind as one of the best rock bands of the 90's.

When asked why I gave this album a perfect score, it's because even today the songs on Colour and Shape stand out. Seriously, throw on Everlong or Monkeywrench and they are as good as the first time you heard them. It was all downhill for the Foo's after this album.
