This is one of those stories where a band got what it deserved. Union 13 started in 1993 playing house and backyard parties in L.A.'s east side when an eager Epitaph employee brought the band to the attention of owner Brett Gurewitz (formerly in Bad Religion). The rest as they say is history because Brett was just blown away by their live show. Singer, Edward Escoto, sings in both Spanish and English and while not always coherent due to his speedy delivery, you can tell from the lyric sheet that Union 13 has strong sociopolitical leanings. Pretty intense punk for those that can take it.
