RecommendRadio rock has to have some effect on musicians. The Terms are the perfect example of that influence. They are a band from Louisiana and they proudly state on their bio that they are for fans of Coldplay, U2, Maroon 5 and Rob Thomas. As an indie rock critic this just makes me cringe, but to be fair, radio rock has to have an influence on someone.
The album opens up with somewhat of an almost rootsy feel, "Big City Wildflowers". It does sound very slick with the guitar harmonics echoing overtop of Ben Labat's vocals. The first single is "Welcome To the Now Evo Devo" but in reality it seems to be lacking the punch that The Terms need. It has an 80s feel to it. I couldn't find anything truly outstanding on their Small Town Computer Crash.
So, it is true that if you are a fan of those aforementioned bands you might be keen on the slick sounds of The Terms. They are just perfect for picking up and throwing right on the radio. But if you are looking for something a little bit different, as this site is all about, then I would stay away.

Yikes...sounds like a bittersweet something. Riding the coat tails of other bands is one thing. Flanuting it, is another. I'm the first to compare bands sometimes. But, pushing the idea is another thing altogether. It sounds interesting, and considering their regional location I may run into em, and check em out live.
