Why should I even bother writing a review for the new Punkorama? If you are a punk fan, chances are that you always pick up these budget label samplers regardless of who’s on them or what songs are there. Bottom line is that Punkorama is an established compilation that punk fans have come to respect as the premier comp for Epitaph. There are the regular contributors here and some of the tracks are usually previously unreleased such as Pennywise doing X’s “We’re Desperate� with Exene Cervenka and a great track from the always fun NOFX called “Bath of least resistance�. When Epitaph puts all their bands on one compilation it makes you realize just what a powerful entity they are in the punk world. With bands like Pulley, All, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Dropkick Murphys, Hot Water Music, and now with Bad Religion back on the label there really isn’t much to compare them too. Epitaph is a label that has had a vision and delivered. Where does a label this good go from here?
