RecommendCologne artist Jorg Follert has recorded and performed under other names, and has written music for film and theater. His main meat though has been releasing solid acoustic instrumental music that, with the occasional addition of vocals and drone, continues in the dramatic vein of his other work. This is a generous set of seventeen songs unified by a short melodic theme. Mostly this is somber work, with the occasional bounce. But on some of these tracks, the Fender Rhodes has never sounded more beautiful. Guitar, harmonica and strings pop up now and then in the mix, as each “picture” slowly becomes part of a whole, like a sad river.
