RecommendThe 24 year old multi-genre mixer, Leon Jean-Marie flashes shows his rustically rumbling drum N’ Bass edge and scatters male/female soul vocals around for warmth and range. Some Scissor Sisters decoration and a hint of Marvin Gaye render ‘Scratch’ funky and real. More orthodox guitar loops and a pop friendly instrumental slant leans into the yearning, funk and blues edged vocals for B-sde ‘Make It Right’. This facilitates the delivery of a passionate and slightly wistful parade. Leon Jean Marie hints at his deep musical appreciation and eclectic leanings that are only going to grow.
