I know I have reviewed and listened to Low Level Owl in the wrong order but that’s the way it goes. What I have found with Appleseed Cast’s epic double album is a whole new world for this very talented band. The two discs should have ultimately been packaged together as a double disc as opposed to being released months apart. There is no possible way that one could choose a favorite of the two either. They go hand in hand. Appleseed Cast has blown by all the other Deep Elm bands with the Low Level Owl set in the sense that they are starting to think in epic proportions. Their music has evolved from the standard emo fare to that of a seasoned veteran. The music isn’t only lyrically superior but the orchestrations and experimentations are that of experienced musicians. Let’s hope that Appleseed Cast gets the recognition they deserve for this brilliant epic.
