Trance compilations are a dime a dozen these days, so how does a consumer know what’s good and what sucks? If you are looking for a good trance compilation, look no further than Nordic DJ Ferry Corsten. This is his second Global Trancemissions album with Moonshine and they are both superior compilations. This new edition features many of today’s greatest trance anthems and Ferry uses the scene of Ibiza for inspiration. The seamless mix never slows down from beginning to end making an intense collection of songs that are brilliantly mixed. Tracks are pretty much played in full allowing you to fully get into each and every track. A downside to this, for the DJ, is that you have to pick your tracks wisely. In Corsten’s case, though, he does this thought process very extensively and there isn’t a track on Trancemissions that doesn’t belong. It’s a powerful mix that the casual Trance fan as well as hardcore ravers will enjoy. Some of the more prominent artists included on the mix are Delerium, Sunscreem, System F (Ferry’s alias), and Tranquility Bass.
