Smithsonian pulls some obscure recordings out of the woodwork and Mr. Holcomb is no different. He was probably the last one who thought he would be recorded. Sure he sang and performed but never in a studio. This album is for those traditionalists who enjoy a hard life story belted out, not always in key, but heartfelt. He plays a mean banjo too.
