This is the bastard son of Monster Magnet lead guitarist, Ed Mundell and two of his very close friends. They have been jamming as Bitchwax since 1993 and only had time to throw together an album in June 1999. Now we are upon the second coming of one of the heaviest guitarists in rock today. This album sounds as if it were right off of Frank Kozik's Mans Ruin label. Stoner Rock is the flavour of the band and man, do they do it well. As with most stoner rock bands their aren't any really heartfelt lyrics, just intensely heavy guitar riffs and head nodding percussion. Ed isn't afraid to show off his amazing guitar licks here, they are often overlooked in his other band, Monster Magnet. The band lays back on a couple tracks ("Smokescreen") and end up sounding like some old 70's bands like Mountain. Just sit back and appreciate the amazing guitarwork while you smoke that big spliff. Rock like rock's never seen before.
