Literally, a band that folded and became even more popular after their heyday. The impact of Bauhaus is still being felt on the world as was showcased on their reunion tour last year. The album was recorded at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York last year to an open armed crowd (as they found all over). Gotham includes almost every classic Bauhaus tune recorded plus a few suprises. They recorded Dead Can Dance's "Severance", marking the first studio recording in 16 years. Maybe just a blast from the past but also as a rememberance of how strong a following they have and had.
