Full sounding acoustic alternative...no, No, NO! I WON'T DANCE WITH GENRIFICATION. Just barely signed with EVR last year Goodbye Tommorow is touring relentlessly, while we wait for the their first full length. In the meantime, a self-titled three track is available to taste.
Soft vocals and nicely cordinated instrumentation create a jarring and powerful sound for what could easily be categorized as a Pop Alternative act. Ooops, I did it anyways. Tragedienne being the first of three songs, and to steal a lyric, is 'salty' and sweet all at the same time. A synchronatic timing of acoustic and electric comes to a head when a strong bridge ignites this song back into the chorus.
Though most of you won't wind up with this limited pressing, I'm fairly certain at least two of these three songs are LP worthy and will be present on their full recording when its released later this summer (2007). If the album is anywhere near as powerfully poppy as this teaser was, I'll be back to write a review.
