Josh has an amazing way of rapping. It's quite different from any other underground hip-hop project. Josh, having been Coheed's drummer for quite a while, knows rock quite well and blends his experience into his beats. Weerd Science's beats are not quite as harsh as regular hip hop, they are more mellow and bass-oriented. Josh's lyrics are quite unlike anyone else's. They are bitterly tongue-in-cheek, attacking everything from "trashy" unwanted pregnancies in "Girl, Your Baby's Worm Food" to the rap industry in several songs, including "My War, Your Problem". All lyrics are straight from personal experience, and after listening a few times, Josh feels like a friend. Josh is an expert as far as rhyming goes, and combining his frank but truthful lyrics with constant crude sound effects, this record will stay on rotation for quite a while. Sample lyrics from "Girl, Your Baby's Worm Food": "The chick is a kid, every time she farts, illegitimate, illiterate little bastards, dead by eighteen, but this is just faster"
