Don't tell anyone, but one of the most underated metal groups in the history of progressive metal is Cave In. Still not telling anyone, one of their greatest triumph throughout their catalogue of different styles was their 1997 major label debut, Beyond Hypothermia. To call this record grinding and in your face would in fact be a large understatement. Though the album starts off with the slugging intro of Crossbearer, it quickly changes gears, as any Cave In fan knows they're capable of. Then the tempo-ed metal walks through, and sets the table for the aching and strong lead vocals. Leading onward like a saga lead vocals Stephen Brodsky takes this song into a slow rolling vocal ending. Hate to sound like a skipping record but this album is absolutely one of the most overlooked recordings in the history of metal. PICK IT UP!!!
