From start to finish, A Snow Capped Romance is an intense, often breaktaking record. Opening with At The End Of August and Closing with Waterhaul, songs flow into each other perfectly and the pace just does not let up.
There are enough stunning melodies here to perhaps please the 'mainstream', and enough deafening growls and walls of guitars to provide some serious movement in the pit.
Highlights would have to be The Heart And The Shape, Destroy The Map and Waterhaul, but really every track is an excercise in how Metalcore should be done. Unpredictable, visceral and brilliant. One of my favourite records.
