Two Gallants have gained popularity in the indie-world for their rigorous touring schedule, playing nearly 200 electric live shows in 2006. However, Two Gallants is also recognized as having a penchant for acoustic songs, as shown on their 2007 EP The Scenery of Farewell. Embarking on a sound based around acoustic guitars, harmonicas, cellos, and violins, Scenery is a stripped down version of Two Gallants' live performances, creating a warm and intimate, country influenced album that highlights the vocals of Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel.
Scenery is more of a treat to devoted followers of Two Gallants than a release to attract new fans, namely because the songs played are fan favorites: "Linger On" is a piano ballad that is highly requested during shows, while the catchy "Seems Like Home to Me" is a staple of any Two Gallants show. By no means is this album not accessible to up and coming fans, though; it's a good release, but one might want to pick up an album like What the Toll Tells to try out 2G's sound, then venture into their acoustics.

Yep. During a concert that was reportedly "too loud," their singer (maybe) got tased when he resisted arrest. The video was on youtube, very controversial because it looks like the man wasn't doing anything to resist arrest.

They also go popular because they made news when one of their members got tasered by the police of Dallas, I think.
